British airways has revealed the 25 most searched for destinations worldwide for 2025. They have also revealed which destinations are on the rise as part of their ‘End of Summer Sale’.
Unsurprisingly given London to New York is one of the most frequent flights in the world, New York, has retained the top spot for 2025. The US continues to be popular with Orlando, home of Disney, coming in second again and Las Vegas climbing one spot to 3rd to ensure the US locked out the podium.
There were two new entries for 2025. The first one is Nashville coming in at 22 and is driven by their booming country music scene. Corfu is the other destination coming in at 23 driven by the increasing number of hotel openings on the island and continued popularity of Greece for European travellers.
The Maldives, the picture perfect holiday destination, dropped one place to fourth swapping places with Las Vegas. Barbados climbed one place to round out the top 5. The Caribbean continues to be a super popular destination with 7 destinations within the top 25. Grenada being the standout mover from the Caribbean jumping 5 places to 19.
Asia is slightly underrepresented with only Tokyo, Phuket ad Bangkok making the list from that region. Phuket seems to be increasingly popular and with British Airways resuming flights to both Bangkok and Kuala Lumpur now provides increasing ease to the region. Somewhat surprisingly Australia rounded up the bottom of the list at number 25.
